Hon Mansur Manu Soro, distributed 2,000 bags of free fertilizer to deserving farmers in his constituency.

The member representing Darazo-Ganjuwa Federal Constituency, Hon Mansur Manu Soro, has distributed 2,000 bags of free NPK (15-15-15) fertilizer to deserving farmers in his constituency.

Speaking during the distribution of fertilizer yesterday in Darazo, Manu Soro, said that over 2,000 bags of free fertilizer have been distributed across the 22 federal wards of the constituency to identified hamlet heads, village heads, district heads, party leaders, party stakeholders, MMS coordinators, Imams, and pastors.

The lawmaker said the gesture was to support food production and economic development of rural communities, adding that a standing committee is going from ward to ward to ensure that selected beneficiaries from the 22 Electoral Wards in the Darazo/Ganjuwa federal constituency receive the commodity.

Manu Soro said, “Under my representation, we have institutionalized the distribution of free fertilizers in DGFC to support both wet and dry season farmers since the year 2020. We shall remain unrelenting in our commitment to increase the agricultural productivity of the Darazo-Ganjuwa federal constituency.

“I was joined by the PDP state women leader, Haj. Hauwa Fulani, PDP zonal chairman, Bunun Siyi, and LG party chairmen of Darazo and Ganjuwa, who re-emphasize the need for the distribution committee to ensure a hitch-free distribution and prioritize hard-to-reach areas,” he said.

In May 2025, Manu Soro also launched the MMS – Young Millionaire in Agriculture (YOMA) programme, where we trained 125 youths to become millionaires in agriculture and empowered each with free inputs of 5 bags of fertiliser, 4 litres of herbicides, 1 bag of improved seeds, a spraying machine, and a farm clearance fee.
