Nigeria’s foremost private-sector diplomat, Aisha Maina, will address the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum 2025 (ACTIF 2025) on 28 and 29 July alongside Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell of Grenada, Afreximbank President Benedict Oramah, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and other continental leaders determined to turn centuries of shared history into measurable opportunity.
Hosted by Afreximbank and the Government of Grenada, ACTIF 2025 will convene heads of government, ministers, financiers, and chief executives to translate ideology into investment. Ms. Maina joins the forum on the back of a year defined by concrete results:
● Aquarian Consult Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit, Abuja, March 2025 – Maina convened policymakers and business leaders, securing memoranda in agriculture, culture, and trade.
● Historic private charter of more than 100 Nigerian government officials,
Entrepreneurs, young leaders, and cultural ambassadors to Saint Kitts and Nevis, June 2025 – the largest such business mission in island history, generating tourism, creative-industry, and food-security deals.
● A Nigerian summit held in March, facilitated by Ms. Maina and Prime Minister Dr.
Terrance Drew of Saint Kitts and Nevis, laid the groundwork for direct air and sea
links.
“Development cannot thrive in isolation,” Ms. Maina said ahead of the forum. “Trade, culture, and policy are inseparable. In Grenada, we will move Global Africa from potential to kinetic prosperity by discussing infrastructure development that will support trade and facilitate free movement between Africa and the Caribbean, thereby earning a chapter in the Middle Passage message. We are not chasing symbolism, we are engineering outcomes.” Sustained commitment to Afro-Caribbean integration Ms. Maina’s organisation, Aquarian Consult Limited, will leverage ACTIF 2025 outcomes to shape the next Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit (AACIS ‘26) scheduled for Abuja in
March 2026. The summit will deepen sector-focused collaboration across agriculture, health, energy, and creative industries, ensuring that agreements signed are implemented,
measured, and scaled.
Aquarian Consult has empowered more than four thousand entrepreneurs and facilitated multimillion-dollar South-South trade deals. Aisha also leads Aquarian Oil and Gas, promoting sustainable practices across the energy value chain. Her guiding mantra is,
“Impact is the true currency of legacy.”
