The Significance of Dr. Udemba’s role was pivotal in evaluating how religious teachings could foster positive human relations and inclusion of marginalised groups, including individuals with disabilities. “It was not just about evaluating academic achievements,” Dr. Udemba explained, “but about recognising how faith-based values can create inclusive, supportive environments where all individuals, including those with disabilities, can thrive.” The panel’s work focused on assessing how religious principles could promote empathy, justice, and social cohesion, particularly for individuals often excluded or marginalised in society. These students were committed to addressing societal challenges like inequality and injustice through faith-based principles of compassion, peace, and justice. Dr. Udemba and her panel emphasised the importance of integrating religious values into sectors such as education, women’s rights, and cultural preservation for lasting impact. The panel fostered ethical leadership by encouraging the students to align their academic knowledge with moral responsibility. Ultimately, the event contributed to a growing movement that blends academic rigour with spiritual and cultural advocacy, demonstrating the power of education and faith in promoting societal progress.
