The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Edo State branch, has congratulated Prof. (Mrs.) Idia Ize-Iyamu, on her appointment as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by its chairman, Dr. Eustace Oseghale, the association hailed her emergence as the first female CMD of UBTH, noting that it reflects her exceptional dedication, exemplary leadership, and steadfast commitment to advancing healthcare.
“On behalf of the Edo State Officers Committee and members of the NMA, Edo State branch, I extend my most sincere congratulations on your appointment,” the statement read.
“Your extensive work, clinical acumen, compassionate approach to patient care, and proven leadership have inspired many and set a high standard within our community.”
Dr. Oseghale praised Prof. Ize-Iyamu’s record of achievements in various leadership roles, expressing confidence in her ability to leverage her experience, vision, and leadership skills to drive further growth and development at the hospital.
