Reprieve as 435 Ogun community devt areas get 102 electric transformers

In support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Senator Solomon Adeola has facilitated the donation of 102 electric transformers to 435 Community Development Areas (CDAs) across three senatorial districts of Ogun State.

Speaking during the presentation of the transformers, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, Chief Kayode Odunaro, said the units, of varying specifications, were procured based on the needs of each benefiting locality.

The transformers: 500kva/33, 500kva/11, 300kva/33 and 300kva/11, were handed over to community representatives during the celebration of Senator Adeola’s 56th birthday at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, Ilaro, in Yewa South Local Council.

Odunaro noted that 17 local councils benefited from the “Light Up Ogun State” scheme. They are Yewa North, Ado Odo Ota, Yewa South, Abeokuta North, Ifo, Obafemi Owode, Ewekoro, and Sagamu.”

Others include Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu, Ipokia, Ijebu North East, Ikenne, Ijebu East, Remo North, Abeokuta South and Ijebu North.

Explaining the motivation for the intervention, Adeola said his office had been inundated with requests for transformers following his periodic donations over the years. He added that it brought him joy to “bring light to various homes and businesses through the provision of transformers.”

Odunaro further disclosed that the senator had facilitated the installation of solar-powered street lights on streets, markets, communities and palaces, with more than 16,500 poles installed so far across Ogun West senatorial district and beyond.
