Corporation appoints new chief executive

Falcon Corporation Limited has appointed Audrey Joe-Ezigbo as its new chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2026.

His appointment followed the retirement of the founding managing director, Prof. Joseph Ezigbo, after more than three decades in the role.

Ezigbo, who co-founded the company in 1994 with Mrs. Joe-Ezigbo, is credited with guiding Falcon from a small start-up to a notable player in Nigeria’s natural gas and energy distribution sector. Under his leadership, the firm established a reputation for operational efficiency, sustainability-focused growth, and corporate responsibility.

Speaking on his retirement, he described his tenure as “the honour of my professional life” and expressed confidence in the incoming chief executive.

“Audrey’s strategic vision, leadership, and deep industry knowledge are exactly what Falcon needs as it enters its next era,” he said.

Joe-Ezigbo, who currently serves as deputy managing director, has more than three decades of executive experience. She has played a central role in expanding Falcon’s national footprint and building partnerships that strengthened its position in the energy sector.

The board said her appointment reflects a commitment to governance, innovation and sector leadership.

A former president of the Nigerian Gas Association and the first woman to hold the post, Joe-Ezigbo is a founding member of the Women in Energy Network (WiEN) and an advocate for gender inclusivity in the sector.

She recently received the 2025 Nigerian Oil and Gas (NOG) Industry Women in Leadership Award.
