Morocco 2025 AFCON: HandyPros mobilises support for Super Eagles

HandyPros Hospitality has started a campaign to get 2000 Nigerians to cheer up the Super Eagles at the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) billed for Morocco.

Unveiling the campaign, tagged “Morocco Beyond AFCON,” in Lagos on Tuesday, HandyPros Hospitality lamented that less than 200 Nigerians were on hand to cheer up the Super Falcons at the last Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), saying that there is need to get more fans to support the national team.

According to the firm, the plan is to airlift 2000 Nigerians to Morocco on a 10-day trip from December 22, 2025, adding that apart from cheering the Eagles and watching matches, the fans will also visit exciting places in the host country.

It announced that sports commentator, Suo Chapele; television host Zzini Ekeh, comedian/actor, Anita Asuoha, known as Real Warri Pikin and others will lead the campaign.

Explaining the decision to embark on the campaign, Chief Operating Officer, HandyPros Hospitality, Adeleye Gabriel Ogunwole, said: “We saw the success of WAFCON and we feel that supporting the Super Eagles will go a long way in promoting our culture, Nigeria and show the beautiful side of the host country to Nigerians.

“The Super Falcons didn’t enjoy the needed support but they performed well despite that; so, imagine having 2000 Nigerians there to cheer them up.

“Morocco is a beautiful destination and it has different things Nigerians can tap into and still have beautiful experiences. Two thousand sounds like an ambitious number, but having that number cheering the Super Eagles will boost their morale. We can’t underestimate the power of support in the game of football.”

Also speaking on the campaign, founder, HandyPros Limited, Folorunso Egbekunle, said: “Nigeria has a total of 2000 slots for the tournament … So, we are not going there to find out what needs to be done, but as a company that has connections for the tickets.

“We are in touch with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as well as the National Sports Commission and they are happy about the initiative.”
