A closed-door meeting is currently underway in Lagos, bringing together key members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, and Peter Mba of Enugu State are among the prominent attendees.
The meeting, known as the PDP Southern Zoning Consultative Summit, also includes former Senate President Adolphus Wabara and former National Deputy Chairman Bode George.
Others include: former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola; former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel; former Governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwu; and former Speaker of Oyo State, Jumoke Akinjide, among other notable party leaders.
The gathering aims to discuss the party’s direction and address pressing issues affecting its members.
