Boniface set for medical ahead of Milan move

Nigerian attacker Victor Boniface is set to undergo medical tests ahead of a loan move to AC Milan from Bayer Leverkusen.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed this on Thursday, saying: “Victor Boniface to AC Milan, here we go! Verbal agreement between all parties for the Nigerian striker.”

Romano said Milan will pay a loan fee worth €5 million to Leverkusen, with a €24m buy option clause also included in the deal but it is not mandatory.

Boniface is expected to sign a permanent contract with Milan until 2030 at the expiration of his loan deal at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Next step for the Nigerian international is the medical test ahead of signing his contract, with Boniface’s agent already in Italy, according to Football Italia.

Boniface joined Leverkusen from Union Saint Gilloise of Belgium in the summer of 2023 and went ahead to win two trophies with the German club in his maiden campaign.

He played a prominent role as Leverkusen won a historic Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal in the 2023/24 season while the club lost 3-0 to Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League final.
