Seyi Tinubu tasks youths on faith-driven leadership, community service

Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, has charged Catholic youths across Nigeria to deepen their commitment to faith-driven leadership and community service.

The President’s son made the call on Thursday as the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) marked its 40th anniversary.

Delivering a goodwill message at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, Anambra State, he described the CYON as a beacon of hope and a platform that has nurtured generations of Nigerian youths in faith, service, and community impact.

Tinubu, represented by the National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Belusochukwu Enwere, commended CYON for four decades of shaping young Nigerians in the Catholic faith and urged the group to renew its zeal in nurturing the next generation for greater societal impact.

“For four decades, CYON has been a beacon of hope, a platform for spiritual growth, and a nurturing ground for countless young lives dedicated to the cause of Christ,” Seyi Tinubu said.

“Your unwavering commitment to sharing the Gospel, fostering unity, and impacting communities with love and compassion has touched hearts, transformed lives, and glorified God.”

He paid tribute to the past leaders and members of the organization, offering prayers for those who had passed on while celebrating the current leadership for sustaining the vision.

He urged the youth body to renew its zeal and passion for its mission, stressing the need to continue empowering young people to grow in faith, uphold truth, and spread the love of Christ.

“Congratulations on 40 years of impactful, resourceful, and result-oriented apostolate. May the Lord continue to bless, strengthen, and lead CYON into greater heights for His glory,” he said.
