The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State, has vowed that it will not relent in transforming Lagos State and by extension Nigeria through its ‘New Dawn Agenda’.
Speaking during a briefing to mark the first anniversary of the present executive council members of the group, the Chairman, PFN, Lagos State, Pastor Yemi Davids, stated that the body has brought innovations and covered appreciable ground in the execution of its ‘New Dawn Agenda’ through a collective spirit.
“Within the space of one year that this administration took off, collectively, we have been able to achieve success in the area of reconciliation, collaboration, relevance, communication, impacted lives and have been able to bring back into PFN fold, those that were sometimes aggrieved one way or the other, while not subjugating the area of spiritual transformation,” he said.
He said the less privileged had been touched including those outside Lagos State, precisely in Benue State, as the group, in collaboration with SESOR and Acts of Mercy, raised N42 million for the Benue Relief Campaign, including moving 60 tons of relief materials to the state, in response to the crisis there.
He noted that the PFN has also been catching them young in the area of re-orientation of children and youth.
He gave assurances that the body, in the next two years, would continue its transformation of Lagos State through town hall meetings either physical or virtual.
He noted that the body has started working with all local councils in the state to bring the needed transformation.
At the media briefing were Deputy Chairman, PFN, Lagos State, Rev. Janet Onaolapo; Presiding Chaplain, Chapel of Christ Church, Alausa, Rev. Dele Ajayi; State Secretary, Rev. Udoh Agumonsho; Coordinator, Provincial Chairman, Apostle Lyke Ejiaku; Apostle Josephine Asiwaju, among others.
