Nigeria’s Sikiru Alimi signs for Algerian club, JS Saoura

Algerian side JS Saoura have confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker Sikiru Alimi, bringing the forward into the North African league as part of the club’s squad strengthening for the new season.

Alimi, 29, represented Nigeria at the African Nations Championship (CHAN), where he scored once in three appearances.

He was also a key figure in Remo Stars’ campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season, contributing to the club’s first league title.

His performances in the domestic league and at international level attracted interest from Rivers United and Rangers International before the Algerian club secured his transfer.

JS Saoura have moved to include him in their frontline as they prepare for league and continental competitions.

The striker has played for several clubs across Africa, including Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars, Lobi Stars, Stade Tunisien, and Maghreb Fez.

His transfer to JS Saoura adds Algeria to his career journey, expanding his experience in African football.
