Two years after IP Lawyer & Creative Entrepreneur Bukola Fadipe’s X Records took off, the record company has announced the signing of new AI-powered artistes to its roster.
Leveraging a powerful blend of Agile practices, Google Sprint, and Lean Strategies, the label’s first signee Oxford-based American artist XGirl, debuted with Deadpool & Wolverine last summer—a viral AI-powered song that set the tone for X Records’ unorthodox, culture-shifting approach.
The label also claims to have released over 50 other AI-powered songs quickly establishing itself as the vanguard of AI-driven creativity in entertainment.
Co-signed by industry experts including Bolaji Kareem, Ay Zed, Folabi Obembe, Sunday Ogundiran, among others, “the company attempts to position itself as Africa’s first true global entertainment IP powerhouse,” its founder, Fadipe, said.
The label also announced new appointments with IP experts Gbolahan Ibironke and Michelle Johnson, onboarding as Director, and PR Specialist, respectively.
In a related development, the label has also launched the advocacy unit dubbed, IP Don-Consiglieres, focused on curbing the culture of IP rugging in the creative industry.
“We try to create a platform for creatives to cultivate, extract, and express their creative talents in unique ways that promote a global cultural renaissance.
“We also want to drive the development and cultivation of Valuable Intellectual Property (VIP) while also promoting equity in the fast-growing Nigerian/African entertainment industry where inequity thrives currently.”
