• As NDPHC boss hails VP @59
The Arewa Think Tank (ATT) has lauded President Bola Tinubu for passing a vote of confidence on Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu had, during the celebration of Shettima’s 59th birthday, stated: “I deeply appreciate your vibrancy, loyalty, partnership, and support as my deputy. In choosing you then as a partner, I selected competence and other qualities that Nigeria could depend on.”
A statement by the Convener of ATT, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, noted that Tinubu’s accolades on Shettima have rubbished the ambitions of those eyeing the Vice President’s seat in 2027.
“From all indications, Tinubu has set the record straight that he has no problem with his Vice President, contrary to the rumours that have been making the rounds that he was going to drop and replace him.”
Meanwhile, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Jennifer Adighije, has extended warm felicitations to Vice President Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 59th birthday, praising his unwavering support and transformative leadership that continues to inspire hope across the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
In a goodwill message, Adighije described the Vice President as a quintessential leader whose vision, support, and guidance have been instrumental in propelling NDPHC to greater heights as a key driver of power sector investments in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
She said: “Under your visionary leadership, we have enjoyed unmatched support and guidance, enabling NDPHC to remain a leading contributor to Nigeria’s power sector transformation.
“NDPHC, as a critical player in the country’s electricity value chain, reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the administration’s efforts in expanding access to reliable power supply for economic growth and national development. ”
Adighije also noted that Shettima’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic growth, and national unity continues to inspire hope for a brighter and more prosperous Nigeria.
