The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, has felicitated with the officers, soldiers and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria on the occasion of the 2025 Eid el‑Maulud celebration.
Maulud commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the solemn day offers an opportunity to honour his life, emulate his teachings, and reflect on the enduring message of compassion, service and humility.
“I urge you to observe this event as a time for reflection on unity, commitment and loyalty. As the Prophet brought hope and good tidings to the world, so must we be promoters of peaceful coexistence and optimism – strengthening the bonds within our ranks and across our nation as we continue to serve with integrity, professionalism and dedication,” Musa said.
He assured Nigerians of the armed forces’ commitment to preserving national unity and fostering peaceful coexistence throughout the country.
“Together, and guided by the principles exemplified by the Prophet, we will remain resolute in our duty to protect lives, uphold the rule of law and support the collective prosperity of our nation,” he said.
