APC director attends DPRK founding anniversary reception in Abuja

Mallam Tasiu Mohammed, Director of Election Management at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat, was among the dignitaries who attended a reception organized by the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Abuja to mark the 77th anniversary of the country’s founding.

The event, held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Embassy premises on Diplomatic Drive in the Central Business District, was hosted by H.E. Jong Chol Guk, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the DPRK Embassy.

The reception brought together members of the diplomatic community, senior government officials, political party representatives, and friends of the DPRK in Nigeria to celebrate the historic milestone.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Mallam Tasiu Mohammed commended the Embassy for fostering cordial relations between Nigeria and the DPRK, stressing the importance of strengthening international friendship and cooperation.

The occasion featured diplomatic exchanges, cultural performances, and reflections on the longstanding ties between Nigeria and the DPRK. Guests attended in formal lounge suits and national attire, in line with the invitation guidelines.

In a related development, Mallam Tasiu recently paid a courtesy visit to the Ethiopian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Azanaw Tadesse Abreha, at the Embassy in Abuja. The visit, which was at the invitation of the Ambassador, provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest, explore avenues for stronger bilateral relations, and further deepen the cordial ties between Nigeria and Ethiopia.
