The National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) has elected Kabir Oluwatobi Idowu to the rank of a fellow of the institute. The honour is in recognition of Idowu’s outstanding contributions to science, engineering and innovation scientific studies, a researcher in the Department of Mathematics, Purdue University, United States.
The fellowship represents the highest grade of membership within the institute and is reserved for distinguished individuals who have demonstrated excellence and impact in their professional fields.

He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, with his research focusing on developing models and AI-driven approaches to address infectious and non-infectious diseases, including COVID-19, cancer, malaria, and HBV.
His recognition as a Fellow of NIPES further strengthens his growing international profile, adding to a distinguished record that includes academic awards, invited talks at international workshops, and service as a grant reviewer and as a reviewer for leading journals in applied mathematics and computational science.
