Lagos lit up on Sunday, September 21, as the much-anticipated Gingerrr premiered at IMAX Cinemas, Lekki.

Produced by Wumi Toriola, Kiekie, Bolaji Ogunmola, and Bisola Aiyeola, the film touches on the gritty realities of Lagos street life and the dark side of illegal businesses. It’s told in Yoruba and Nigerian Pidgin,

The premiere’s theme, “Channel Your Inner Swag,” was met with dazzling style moments. Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Adesua Etomi, Ini Dima-Okojie, Timini Egbuson, Efe Irele, and Veekee James were among the many stars who turned heads on the red carpet. Social media favourites like Erica Nlewedim, Juliana Olayode, Lilian Afegbai, and TikTok sensations Peller and Jarvis also joined the celebration.

From bold colours to statement silhouettes, the night was as much about fashion as film. With Gingerrr’s nationwide release on September 26, the buzz promises to carry from the red carpet straight into cinemas.
