It was an evening of glamour and celebration as Uche Ojembe & Associates Legal Consult (UOALC), an Abuja-based law firm, marked its fifth anniversary with a grand event at the Exclusive Serene Hotel, Abuja.
The event, themed “Celebrating Five Years of Legal Excellence: A Future of Impact,” drew an impressive gathering of legal professionals, political dignitaries, clients, and well-wishers to commemorate the firm’s achievements over the past five years.
Among the distinguished guests were Senators Orji Uzor Kalu, Enyinnaya Abaribe, and Nkechi Nwaogu; Emeka Wogu, Chairman of the South East Development Commission and former Minister of Labour; Magistrate Farila Ibrahim; Chief Azubogu; and Barr. Awa Kalu (SAN), former Attorney-General of Abia State. Their presence added prestige to the celebration.
In his goodwill message, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu commended the firm’s dedication to justice and professionalism.
“I applaud UOALC for its unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and urge young legal practitioners to remain steadfast in integrity and service. Congratulations on this milestone of excellence,” he said.
Guests enjoyed a well-curated programme that included a recap of UOALC’s milestones, award presentations, and a banquet that encouraged networking and camaraderie among attendees.
Barrister Uchenna Ojembe, Lead Counsel and founder of UOALC, delivered a heartfelt keynote speech reflecting on the firm’s journey from modest beginnings to national recognition.
“What began as a small legal outfit has grown into a reputable firm anchored on integrity, professionalism, and results,” he said.
“As we celebrate five years of excellence, innovation, and impact, we reflect on our milestones, challenges, and the values that continue to define our practice.”
Ojembe expressed gratitude to clients, colleagues, and team members who contributed to the firm’s growth, as well as to his family and mentors for their support.
He recalled the challenges of launching the firm in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that perseverance, creativity, and hard work were key to its success.
“This was not how we started,” he said. “But through dedication and grace, we’ve handled high-level cases across debt recovery, probate, criminal, and civil matters. Now, we are expanding our services to clients in the diaspora.”
He concluded by reaffirming the firm’s mission for the future. “Today is not just a celebration of how far we have come, but a reaffirmation of who we are and what we stand for. May the next five years bring even greater success, not just for UOALC, but for everyone connected to our vision.”
