Varsities from 4 countries set for Africa Study Abroad Fair in Lagos, Abuja

Universities from Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and France are expected to participate in the fourth edition of the Africa Study Abroad Fair, scheduled for 18 October in Lagos and 20 October in Abuja.

The organisers said the event aims to provide Nigerian students and parents with first-hand information about studying overseas, including details on admissions, visa processes, and tuition.

The fair will feature representatives from international universities, educational consultants, and application experts who will guide prospective students on course selection and entry requirements. Attendees will also have opportunities to discuss financial planning, accommodation, and other practical aspects of studying abroad.

According to the organisers, the fair is designed for students considering undergraduate and postgraduate studies abroad, as well as parents seeking guidance on available international education options.

“The Africa Study Abroad Fair has become a platform where families can engage directly with university delegates, ask questions, and get clarity about studying overseas,” one of the coordinators said.

The Lagos session will take place at the Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, while the Abuja event will hold at the Abuja Continental Hotel. Both sessions are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Attendance is free but subject to prior registration.
