Sahara Group has called for deliberate and innovative human capital strategies to reposition Africa’s energy sector for sustainable growth and competitiveness amid shifting global energy dynamics and security concerns, even as the Federal Government hailed Schneider for its contributions toward repositioning Nigeria’s power sector
Speaking at the 2025 Yearly International Conference and Exhibition of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) in Lagos, the Group Head of Human Resources at Sahara Group, Emilomo Arorote, said the future of Africa’s energy lay in the competence, curiosity, and courage of its professionals to challenge conventions and drive transformation.
Arorote, who spoke on the theme “Revitalising the Nigerian Petroleum Exploration and Production Strategies for Energy Security and Sustainable Development,” emphasised that innovation in the energy industry would begin with people, not systems, stressing that the Sahara Group remained committed to driving transformative human capital development as a cornerstone of Africa’s energy sustainability agenda.
