Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) is to commission more than 467 projects spanning 271 beneficiary institutions across the country within the next eight months.
Its Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, made the disclosure yesterday in Abuja during the foundation-laying for the University of Abuja/TETFund Centre of Excellence.
Echono, who revealed that the projects would be commissioned between now and October this year, added that the 467 projects consist of 50 iconic projects, with at least two per state.
He disclosed that while the Fund would commission the iconic projects, beneficiary institutions would commission others.
Echono said when launched, the new facility is to be a central hub for leadership activities for renowned speeches and conventions.
The Guardian reports that the Abuja Leadership Centre is expected to serve as a key national platform for training leaders capable of addressing contemporary governance challenges and driving sustainable development in Nigeria.
Earlier, Vice-Chancellor of UniAbuja, Professor Hakeem Fawehinmi, described the event as a milestone that further strengthens the long-standing partnership between both institutions.
