American Twitch streamer and internet personality Kai Cenat has paid a brief visit to Nigeria, where he checked on a school project he previously pledged to support following concerns he raised about learning conditions during an earlier visit.

During his stay, Cenat visited a school linked to the proposed project, where he interacted with pupils and school officials. Images and videos from the visit circulated on social media, showing the streamer engaging with children within the school environment.

The school project has remained in focus since March 2024, when Cenat first visited Lagos and toured the Makoko Children’s Development Foundation School, located in the waterfront Makoko community. During that visit, he observed overcrowded classrooms and limited learning resources, prompting him to speak publicly about the conditions faced by pupils in the area.

Following the visit to Makoko, Cenat made an immediate donation of about $2,800 to $3,000 to support the school’s basic needs. The funds were intended to assist with learning materials and welfare support for the pupils.

Beyond the initial donation, Cenat later pledged to support a larger school project, which he said would be funded through proceeds from his Mafiathon subathon and related fundraising efforts.

Cenat’s latest visit is part of efforts to follow up on that pledge.
