Approximately 48 hours to the Saturday Federal Capital Territory Council polls, the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra state Governor Peter Obi stormed campaign venues to solicit support for the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Dr Paul Moses, vowing to ensure that he wins alongside other candidates of the party .

Atiku Abubakar, a Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and two time presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic party (PDP) in a tweet said :”This morning, I was in Gwarinpa with other leaders of our party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including my brother, His Excellency , Peter Obi, ahead of the Saturday, February 21 FCT Council elections.”

According to Atiku Abubakar the duo have being talking to eligible voters across the Municipal and other area councils to trust the ADC with their votes for a better capital Territory that works for all.

“We have being  speaking with voters about why this election is important and why ADC candidates should be the right choice.”

Atiku Abubakar maintained that, the FCT elections will be yard strick that will be used to measure the preparedness and neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct the general elections .

 “This election is very important. It will say a lot about how ready the managers of our elections are to deliver free, fair and credible polls. It will also say a lot about how ready people are to chase the APC out.

“I have encouraged voters to come out in large numbers to vote for ADC candidates across all FCT Councils in the elections.”

Atiku Abubakar pointed out that the ADC has paraded candidates that understands the aspirations , yearnings and needs of the people far more than any other political oarty.

“Our party has fielded candidates with competence, capacity and character to offer quality leadership across local councils in Abuja.

“Voters have the responsibility to defy all forms of intimidation and make the right choice.

“The APC-led Federal Government under Bola Tinubu has failed citizens on many fronts. It has failed to fix the economy. It has failed to fix our education. It has failed to keep our country safe. It has pushed the citizens of a rich nation into deeper poverty. It has allowed criminal elements to hold citizens to ransom.

“APC must be voted out in the coming elections, and we should start with the FCT elections.”
