Nigerian Fuji singer, Shanko Rasheed Atanda, has announced the death of his first son, Jamaldeen Atanda.
The singer disclosed this in a post shared on his Instagram page on Friday, where he mourned the child and prayed for his soul.
In the post, Shanko did not state the cause of death or when the boy died.
He wrote, “So Sad no parent pray to lose a child in lifetime but Alhamdulilahi Jamaldeen Emrs Atanda JNR rest well my champ I will surely tell you all about it when I see you again. Omo Ola sun reeee,”

After the announcement, friends, colleagues and fans sent condolence messages in the comment section, offering prayers and support to the singer.
The tragedy comes months after the artiste celebrated Jamaldeen’s 12th birthday in December.
At the time, Shanko posted photos of the boy and praised him for bringing joy to his life.
He wrote, “Happy Birthday to my amazing first son! !You changed my life the moment you arrived and continue to make me proud every single day. I love the young man you’re becoming,”
