Adeboye urges leaders to align with God’s doctrine for nation’s growth
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi, have paid glowing tribute to the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on his 84th birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s greatest spiritual gifts.
In a joint message to mark Adeboye’s birthday on March 2, 2026, the President and his wife hailed the cleric as a spiritual pillar whose steadfast intercession and moral guidance have continued to uplift the nation.
They commended the cleric’s humility and profound wisdom, noting that his influence extends far beyond the pulpit.
Meanwhile, Adeboye has called on leaders in the country to align with the doctrines of God and obey His commandments to enjoy the fullness of His unfailing promises.
Adeboye, who spoke through his Personal Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration), Pastor Dele Balogun, during the church’s monthly thanksgiving service held at the RCCG Headquarters, Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, said God’s promises are dependable because of His unchanging nature.
The revered cleric, who spoke on the theme, “God Whose Promises Never Fail Because of Who He Is,” noted that God has specific promises for individuals, the church and the nation at large.
The GO, while reiterating his optimism about Nigeria’s future, maintained that the country is not stagnant but may not be progressing at the pace commensurate with its abundant resources.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians to turn a new leaf, embrace righteousness and collective responsibility, adding that only through obedience to God can the nation truly rise again.
