Joining Porto a proud moment for me and my family – Moffi

Terem Moffi has described his move to FC Porto as a major milestone in his career, saying the opportunity to represent the Portuguese giants is a proud moment for both him and his family.

The Nigeria national football team striker joined Porto on loan from OGC Nice during the winter transfer window in a deal that will keep him at the Estádio do Dragão until the end of the current season.

Since arriving in Portugal, the 26-year-old forward has begun settling into life at the club, making his debut in Porto’s narrow 1–0 victory over CD Nacional.

He has since featured in four league matches and opened his scoring account in a 3–1 win against FC Arouca.

Speaking ahead of Porto’s UEFA Europa League clash with VfB Stuttgart, Moffi said representing the club means a great deal to him.

“I feel immense pride in representing FC Porto. It’s something very big for me and also for my family,” he told Portuguese outlet Record.

The striker also highlighted the positive atmosphere within the squad, saying unity and determination have helped the team prepare for upcoming fixtures.

“As the manager said, there’s good energy, no negativity. We have to stay focused. We have to want to play, want to improve, and be a real family. That’s why we’ve been working hard these last few days and weeks,” he said.

Moffi also praised Porto manager Francesco Farioli, noting that the Italian tactician places strong emphasis on details that help players elevate their performances.

“It comes down to the small details the touch, the right moment to appear, the timing. As a player, that’s what differentiates you from everyone else,” he added.

The forward also addressed criticism following recent matches against Portuguese rivals SL Benfica and Sporting CP, insisting that the players remain focused on contributing whenever called upon by the manager.
