The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Region 52, Garden of Peace Parish, Falolu in Surulere, Lagos under its Church Social Responsibility platform, has cleaned Falolu and adjacent streets as part of the church’s service to the community.

The Pastor of the Regional Headquarters, Samuel Olaniyan,  said the church has been very strategic to fulfill this commission every quarter of the year, regarded as one of the core responsibilities of the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

“ We are taking care of the environment. We cut grasses, desilt the drainages, sweep te streets, and make sure where we reside as a church is clean.

“This is also a message to our people to embark on the cleanliness of their environment with a view to promoting a hygienic atmosphere.

One of the things that we have also packaged for this year is the Welcome Back to School programme that’s going to take place in August and September where we are going to give scholarships to children of secondary schools, stationeries, bags and organize classes for them.

“We will also be visiting the  prison, the hospital and the less privileged environment.
CSR is the vision of the General Overseer, linked with the National Headquarters of RCCG and it is present in all the Regions, Provinces , Zones and parishes.

Since Pastor Olaniyan was posted to head Region 52 Headquarters he has carved out six major areas or objectives of the CSR in Region 52 Headquarters Garden of Peace Parish.

These areas include:
– Education and Empowerment
– Health and Environment
– Food Bank and Feeding Program
– Hospital and Prison ministry
– Drug Abuse and mental health
– Sports
