Prominent Electronic House music organisers, DÚDÚ Creatives, have announced the next edition in its DÚDÚ LIVE rave series slated for this Sunday.
The rave, which is organised in partnership with Algerian underground electronic music community Rebelz Crew, is set to take place at Rumens Place, Ikoyi.
The event is set to feature heavyweight Nigerian disc jockeys Ayọ́fáwo and Kolours, while spotlighting the Algerian electro music juggernauts Fenn, and Djanno, as well as Colombian-Swedish DJ Diana Maria, bringing together a cross-section of DJs whose work sits within the more textured edges of electronic music.
Running from 3:00 PM into the night, the gathering continues DÚDÚ’s signature programming format of long-form sets, niche pan-African cuts, and intra-continental cultural exchange.
Within Nigeria’s bustling electronic music landscape, DÚDÚ LIVE has emerged as a riveting brand focused on exploring alternative, underground electronic music scenes, while targeting millennials and Gen-Z youths who possess refined and unique music tastes.
Founded by Kola Olatunji, DÚDÚ CREATIVES began in Johannesburg in 2024 and has since extended across Cape Town, Lagos, and Cotonou, building a network of collaborations that reflect the fluid movement of sound across the continent. Each edition is both a live experience and a recorded moment, contributing to a growing archive of mixes and performances.
“We’re interested in creating spaces where people can experience music differently,” Olatunji says. “There’s a lot happening across the continent that isn’t being properly documented, and we want to be part of building that archive while connecting scenes.”
The collaboration with Rebelz Crew aka Rblz ,an underground collective with roots in North Africa, points to DÚDÚ’s broader trajectory: one that extends beyond individual cities toward a more connected, Pan-African circuit of electronic music communities.
