The Morades bluntly told the Pastoral team that they would attend the Sanctuary only if the General Overseer himself would pay them a visit.
That very day, the Pastoral team left the Morades premises happily, thinking they were making progress. Pronto, they delivered the message that same day to Pastor Tomoloju, the head and General Overseer of the Sanctuary. When the Pastoral team relayed the message to the ebullient Pastor, he felt happy and glad to meet with the couple to know the reason why they stopped coming to the Sanctuary.
A moment later, he decided to personally pay the couple an impromptu visit. Pastor Tomoloju, in company with two workers in the Sanctuary, drove to the house of the Morades that sunny afternoon in his Exotic Lexus Convertible Jeep.
The gate to the Morade’s compound was opened for Pastor Tomoloju and he drove in pleasurably to the beautiful compound.
The Morades were inside their living room when the tall Pastor, in sartorial elegance, was ushered in. He moved forward gaily and said:
“I’m happy to be your guest, Mr. and Mrs. Morade! We don’t want you to backslide and that’s why I have come. I want your presence in the Sanctuary and place of worship. Tell me briefly the reason why you stopped coming to worship with us again. I want your soul to be saved and have a place in paradise. Now, tell me why you no longer come to the Sanctuary?”
Mrs. Morade stood up instantly after the Pastor’s speech and in a jiffy pounced on the Pastor, grabbing his right ear and screaming: “You’re the cause of our problem and why we stopped going to the Sanctuary! Your last confession on Thanksgiving Day gave you away! You killed our innocent baby! Rot in hell wicked man!” by the last sentence Mrs. Morade sank her teeth on the right ear of the tall Pastor and bit it off.
The pastor shouted in excruciating pains as the woman chewed his ear. There was blood all over the floor.
“Yee, I’m in pains! God help me!” the Pastor continued to cry. Thinking his agony was over. Pastor Tomoloju was still touching his right ear when Mr. Toye Morade appeared with a sparkling machete. The Pastor took to his heels, but Toye swiftly went after him and cornered him before he could escape through the door. He swung the machete wildly, aiming at the head of the Pastor. The pastor ducked it once, but surprisingly the second time the machete hit its target. The Pastor’s head rolled on to the floor. The pastor collapsed and died instantly.
The couple were arrested later and charged for murder and manslaughter.
They were arraigned in court and sentenced to life imprisonment the following month. But this development was for a short time. The Morades spent two years behind Bars precisely after which a brilliant first class lawyer named, Olaiya Thomas (SAN), took up the case and argued in their favour. The lawyer begged for leniency and pardon from the Federal Government. They regained their freedom under a Prerogative of Mercy that same month.
The awesomeness of God showed and manifested Himself in the life of the Morades once again when Mrs. Morade became pregnant at an advanced age. It was the magnanimity and the height of grace from the Almighty God, as nine months later, she was delivered of twins – two lovely, bouncing baby boys! They became happy for what God did in their lives. The Morades had found their rhythm once again, and they were delighted and grateful to God! They lived happily ever after.
