Benue ADC guber aspirant promises better security architecture

As the 2027 political cycle begins to take shape, Benue State governorship aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC),  Dr. Raymond Edoh has promised to protect lives and property of Benue indigenes from the persistent cycle of violent attacks.

Edoh who formally declared his intention to run for the governorship of Benue State under the ADC, is placing the restoration of security and full resuscitation of agriculture at the forefront of his campaign.

Addressing stakeholders, party leaders, and supporters  at a World Press Briefing Friday in Abuja, Edoh emphasized that Venue known as the “Food Basket of the Nation” cannot achieve its economic potential while its citizens live in fear.

He pledged to implement a robust security framework to protect lives and property across the state’s 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs).

Edoh insisted that “Security is the foundation of development therefore our communities deserve safety and peace.

“We will establish the Benue State Community Policing Program (BSCPP) and deploy modern security technologies, including CCTV and drones, to ensure rapid response systems.”

The aspirant noted that the persistent conflict between farmers and herders remains a priority, promising to launch dedicated conflict resolution platforms to restore stability to rural areas.

“I am running because Benue cannot afford another cycle of unfulfilled promises. Our farmers deserve protection, modern tools, and fair returns,” he added.

Beyond security, Edoh unveiled a multi-sectoral manifesto titled a ‘Roadmap for Transformation (2027–2030)’ which plan outlines aggressive interventions in mechanized agriculture, healthcare, and youth empowerment.

He specifically pledged to train 50,000 youths annually in digital and vocational skills to combat unemployment.
Edoh, who described himself as a “servant-leader,” claimed his blueprint stands apart from other contenders due to its practicality and focus on accountability.

In said “I am tried and trusted. No governorship aspirant has my kind of workable roadmap blueprint for the people of Benue State.

“My manifesto under the ADC is people-oriented, selfless, and designed to make our state great again,” Edoh assures.

The ADC aspirant concluded by calling on the electorate to prioritize “competence over connections” and “unity over division” as the state approaches the 2027 polls.

He advises that “The time has come to choose progress over politics as usual. “Together, we can build a Benue where farmers prosper, youths thrive, and leadership is accountable.”
