The Ondo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olaniyi Ogungbuji, has called on Christians and Nigerians at large to embrace the virtues of Jesus Christ as the country marks the Easter season.

In his Easter message, Ogungbuji urged citizens to reflect on the values of love, compassion and selflessness, describing the celebration of Christ’s resurrection as a powerful symbol of hope, unity and renewal.

The statement, issued through the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Sadiq Fatai, emphasised the need for Nigerians to draw inspiration from the Easter message in fostering national cohesion and peaceful coexistence.

According to the PDP chairman, the significance of Easter lies not only in its religious observance but in its broader moral lessons for society.

He urged Nigerians to allow the spirit of the season to guide their actions, encouraging sacrifice, unity and a shared commitment to building a more just and prosperous nation.

Ogungbuji also extended greetings to party members across all levels, including state, zonal and federal executives, commending their dedication to the ideals and progress of the party.

He called for greater harmony within the party and the wider community, stressing the importance of cooperation in achieving collective goals.

“Easter is a season of hope, renewal and unity. It reminds us of the values of sacrifice, love and resilience. I pray that this season inspires us all to work harder for the development and unity of our party and our nation,” the statement read.
