Those injured were said to have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Katsina State Government has dismissed claims in a video circulating online that Radda criticised President Bola Tinubu.
The state government, in a statement by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media & Strategy, M.S. Ingawa, described such reports as false and misleading.
Ingawa said that the governor’s remarks on accountability were general democratic guidance to state officials and citizens and not directed at the President.
He pledged Radda’s support to the President, noting that he has overtime demonstrated it by his consistent backing of the President even before the 2023 elections, and the February 2026 Katsina gathering where the APC leaders endorsed the President’s re-election.
