Eterna Plc

Eterna Plc has recorded sharp earnings rebound for the 2025 financial year, with profit before tax (PBT) rising to N7.27 billion, underscoring a strong recovery driven by improved operational efficiency and revenue expansion.

The company’s audited results for the year ended December 31 show revenue climbed to N302.37 billion, as PBT grew by 52.9 per cent from N4.48 billion recorded in 2024.

Profit after tax (PAT) stood at N2.92 billion, while earnings per share settled at N2.24, reflecting strong returns to shareholders amid a challenging operating environment.

The performance signalled a notable turnaround in the firm’s core operations, supported by tighter cost controls and strategic positioning across its fuels, lubricants and gas segments, which continue to drive growth in the downstream oil market.

Further strengthening its financial footing, the company reported total assets of N92.19 billion, largely buoyed by increased inventory levels, while shareholders’ funds rose to N7.77 billion on the back of improved retained earnings.

The balance sheet highlights Eterna’s growing resilience and capacity to sustain operations and expansion in a volatile energy landscape.

The board has proposed a dividend of N0.50 per share for the 2025 financial year, reinforcing its commitment to shareholder value.

Commenting on the results, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Olumide Adeosun, stated that the company remained focused on operational efficiency and sustainable asset expansion, while strengthening its market position.
