After 11 thrilling weeks of grassroots football, Fortune FA, Strong Dove FA, Pure Talents FA, and Ajegunle United SC have qualified for the Super Four playoff of the Nathaniel Idowu-Ajegunle U-14 Football League, which regular season ended at the weekend at the Nathaniel Idowu Football Pitch, Oregie.
Matchday 11 delivered goals, standout performances, and the final twist in the race for the Super 4, scheduled for April 18, 2026.
Pure Talents sealed their Super 4 ticket in style. Adeleke Igbowu struck twice in the 19th and 32nd minutes, while Ajaloleru Yesir added a third. Bright Future’s consolation came from nine-year-old Mujeeb Surajudeen, the youngest player in the league, whose fearless finish earned admiration from coaches and fans alike.
Fortune FA underlined their title credentials with a composed win over Moore Wins Academy. Akinola Olajide opened the scoring before Markson Victor added a brace. Somtochukwu Eziukwu’s goal for Moore Wins was not enough to keep their Super 4 hopes alive.
Ajegunle United showed resilience after Tossavi Maxime gave Young 11 an early lead. James Solomon responded with a rapid double, and Eshomughe John sealed victory to secure their Super 4 spot.
Strong Dove signed off with a commanding win, cementing second place and carrying momentum into the knockout stage.
Week 11 also highlighted the league’s developmental mission.
Bright Future’s Mujeeb Surajudeen, just nine years old, became the youngest goal scorer of the season—a testament to the Nathaniel Idowu League’s role as a true grassroots incubator.
On April 18, Fortune FA, Strong Dove FA, Pure Talents FA, and Ajegunle United SC will battle for the championship in a one-day knockout festival.
According to the organisers, each of the finalists will get 20 sets of branded jerseys from the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation, adding colour to what promises to be a memorable finale.
