Ecobank to host over 100 vendors at Adire Lagos 2026 exhibition

Ecobank Adire Lagos

No fewer than 100 vendors are set to showcase their works at the 2026 edition of the Adire Lagos Experience, a predominantly Nigerian exhibition aimed at promoting culture-led commerce and creative enterprise.

The fifth edition of the flagship event, organised by Ecobank Nigeria, will hold June 11-14, 2026, at the Ecobank Pan African Centre (EPAC) in Victoria Island, Lagos, bringing together artisans, designers and cultural stakeholders from across the continent.

The 2026 edition, themed “Threads Across Borders,” highlights the depth and global relevance of Adire as a distinctly Nigerian textile tradition.

However, the exhibition will be largely driven by Nigerian participants, reinforcing the country’s position as the home of Adire production, while about 10 per cent of vendors will come from other African countries to contribute diverse textile expressions and foster knowledge exchange and trade linkages.

Head of SMEs, Partnerships and Collaborations at Ecobank Nigeria, Omoboye Odu, said the initiative maintains a deliberate balance between preserving cultural authenticity and promoting continental inclusion, noting that the platform is designed to support local artisans while enabling collaboration across African markets.

Beyond the exhibition, the four-day event will feature indigenous cuisine, music and cultural performances, as well as curate networking and business sessions aimed at strengthening connections across the creative value chain, including artisans, merchants, buyers and cultural enthusiasts.

Ecobank Nigeria has also opened registration for prospective exhibitors, with selected participants to receive complimentary exhibition booths, while applications are expected to close on April 28, 2026. The initiative underscores the bank’s continued commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises and advancing the creative economy through platforms that transform cultural heritage into sustainable enterprise.
