Six Boko Haram Suspects Face Fresh Investigation in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai

Six suspected members of the Boko Haram have been transferred for further investigation in Borno State as military operations intensify across the North-East region.

The suspects were handed over by troops of Operation Hadin Kai to the Joint Investigation Centre (JIC) in Maiduguri for deeper interrogation and profiling.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post on X on Sunday, noting that the suspects were initially in the custody of the 232 Battalion (Task Force) after preliminary investigations.

The individuals have been identified as Alhaji Saleh Manman Ibrahim (44), Ado John (27), Umaru Yunusa (22), Musa Yauba (43), Muhammad Salisu (44), and Babangida Isah Muhammad (28).

According to security sources, the transfer is part of ongoing efforts by the military to dismantle insurgent cells and strengthen intelligence gathering in the region.

Officials say the move will help investigators establish possible links between the suspects and terrorist operations within the Lake Chad Basin axis.

The Nigerian military has continued sustained offensives in the North-East under Operation Hadin Kai, aimed at degrading terrorist networks and restoring stability to affected communities.
