Iweka Emeka Stanley Chijioke has been formally inducted as a Fellow of the Institute of Humanitarian and Disaster Management, a distinguished honour recognising his outstanding contributions to humanitarian service, disaster risk management, and sustainable development.
This fellowship is conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, measurable impact, and an unwavering commitment to advancing humanitarian action, strengthening disaster preparedness, and fostering resilient communities.
His induction reflects both his professional excellence and his sustained dedication to impactful service across the humanitarian and peacebuilding landscape.
Prior to this recognition, Iweka was decorated as an Eminent Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates and conferred with a Fellowship of the Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management, honours that underscore his growing influence as a committed advocate for peace, conflict resolution, and human development on both national and international stages.
In addition to his humanitarian engagements, Iweka serves as the National Coordinator and Chief Operating Officer of Black Diamonds Support Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting women and children who are survivors of physical and sexual abuse, as well as Internally Displaced Persons living in camps.
Through this role, he has contributed to initiatives focused on protection, rehabilitation, and social reintegration for vulnerable persons.
He also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Teleport Mega Zone Travel Limited, a travel agency committed to providing accessible and affordable travel and vacation solutions. Through his leadership in the tourism sector, he continues to advocate for the transformative power of travel as a tool for cultural exchange and global understanding.
Recognised as a peace-through-tourism advocate, Iweka has consistently championed the intersection between travel and peacebuilding, positioning tourism as a strategic pathway for fostering tolerance, dialogue, and global unity.
To him: “This Fellowship is not merely a recognition, but a call to greater service. My work across humanitarian intervention and the travel industry has reinforced a powerful truth that there is a strong nexus between peace and exposure. Through my role with Black Diamonds Support Foundation, I have witnessed firsthand the urgent need to protect and rebuild lives affected by conflict and displacement. At the same time, through Teleport Mega Zone Travel Limited, I have seen how travel opens minds, breaks stereotypes, and builds understanding across cultures.
‘In a world increasingly shaped by conflict, climate-induced disasters, and social divisions, we must embrace both compassion and connection. I firmly believe that promoting responsible travel and cultural exchange can help prevent misunderstandings from escalating into conflict. I remain committed to advancing peace, strengthening disaster resilience, and contributing to sustainable solutions that safeguard lives and unite communities across the world.” He stated.
This milestone marks another defining chapter in Iweka’s journey of service and leadership, reinforcing his position as a respected voice in humanitarian advocacy and innovative peacebuilding. His continued efforts serve as an inspiration to emerging leaders committed to driving meaningful and lasting change across communities worldwide.
