Nigerian engineer Michael Andre Ekwemalor has been recognized by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

Ekwemalor, Group Managing Director of Mase Group, received the Engineering Practice and Excellence Leadership Award on July 30, 2024. The award was presented at the NSE headquarters, the National Engineering Centre, located in the Central Business District of Abuja.

The NSE serves as the official body for the engineering profession in Nigeria, with responsibilities that include professional regulation, standard-setting, and continuing development. Its awards are typically presented during official events to recognize activities related to engineering practice and professional engagement.

Records also indicate that Ekwemalor has participated in technical lectures organized by the NSE, where he received certificates of appreciation for his contributions. These lectures are part of the organization’s continuing professional development programs.

In 2023, he was listed as a speaker at Buildmacex Nigeria, an industry-focused exhibition on construction and machinery. His presentation addressed the topic “Evaluating the Impact of Machinery and Equipment Hiring on Project Time Delivery,” examining how equipment sourcing decisions may influence construction timelines.

Ekwemalor continues to work within Nigeria’s construction sector, which remains a key area of the country’s infrastructure development.
