Management of Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified reports of a water supply issue at the hotel, stating that the disruption lasted for only one day and has since been fully resolved.
In a statement issued on April 24, the hotel said the temporary outage was caused by emergency maintenance works carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board, which began on April 14.
According to the management, contingency measures were immediately activated to ensure that guests continued to receive uninterrupted service despite the disruption.
“We confirm that there was a one-day disruption in water supply,” the statement read, adding that alternative arrangements were put in place to maintain operations and guest comfort during the maintenance period.
The hotel further dismissed circulating social media claims suggesting a prolonged shortage, describing them as inaccurate.
It stated that normal water supply was fully restored on April 15 and has remained stable since then, with all facilities operating at full capacity.
The clarification comes amid heightened sensitivity to service disruptions in Abuja’s hospitality sector, where consistent utilities remain a key expectation for both local and international guests.
Management reiterated its commitment to maintaining high service standards and thanked guests and stakeholders for their understanding.
The statement was signed by the hotel’s General Manager, Martin Zarybnicky.
