Ahead of the APC governorship primaries’ deadline of May 21, Otunba Lanre Jim-Kamal has officially declared his intention to become the party’s flag-bearer for the 2027 general election, with a five-point proposal and 50 billion dollars from his partners to support state development.

Jim-Kamal, who made his official declaration while addressing party leaders and supporters in Ikeja on Saturday, also assured Lagosians that within 2 years of his government, they will start eating rice grown within the state, as his investors have indicated interest in having rice plantations in Badagry.

He highlighted his five-point agenda to include free automated education at all levels, free automated medical services at all levels, massive infrastructure development, decongestion of ‘’concentric zones’’ and human capital development.

Jim-Kamal who used the opportunity to appreciate all the successes of President Tinubu in Nigeria and Lagos particularly said ‘’a good prophet is not accepted among his people but this time around, we are accepting Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our president. He has done a lot for Nigeria, Yoruba and particularly Lagos state’’

‘’I am here to praise President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because many don’t know what he has been doing for Nigeria especially Southwest and Lagos State. I know because I am a partaker’’.
‘’I want Nigeria to know that all his reforms are to the benefit of Nigeria’’.

Born and brought up in Isheri-Oke now called Ikosi-Isheri, Jim-Kamal decried the marginalization of core indigenes of the state like the Awori’s who control 16 out of the 20 local government of the state. “But we are now out to take what rightly belong to us and we are determined to get it.” He stated.

As a chairman/CEO of Nigerturk Consortium Limited based in Abuja, Jim-Kamal said he decided to come down to serve his people by making his commitment to politics 70 percent after cutting his teeth in the business world over the years.

He stressed that the core of his administration programme will be family by alleviating the sufferings of women, ensure all children are in school with a ‘’human face’s law ’’ prohibiting children hawking on the street and making sure unemployment comes to an end in Lagos.

He promised his administration will pay minimum of one hundred thousand naira to all unemployed youth from 18 years to 29 years old who would be required to register their details at their various local government regardless of their qualification after which they will be fixed up through synergy with companies in Lagos state.

Similarly, he will be paying the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira to every indigene that is 60 years old and above in the state monthly.

All these are not just promises but a policy statement that will be repeated on inauguration day, Jim-Kamal assured.

‘’We are going to decongest the concentric zones in Lagos state by opening up Badagry to Seme border through housing, markets, projects that will encourage people to leave the center and move to that side’’.

As for security, Jim-Kamal said his government will police Lagos by ensuring all entrances and exits in the state are provided security gates to monitor everyone entering the state.
