The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, flagged off the exercise at the Maitama Police Command in Abuja, urging officers to fully cooperate with the process. He assured that all results would be kept strictly confidential and communicated privately to each officer, while necessary support measures would be taken based on the outcomes.

Sanusi explained that the exercise is part of broader reforms within the command, noting that the data collected will also assist in planning and improving operational efficiency.

He added that all personnel will be adequately captured

, followed by a confirmation stage to ensure accuracy of the assessment.

According to him, the psychological evaluation is aimed at strengthening professionalism and ensuring officers are mentally fit to discharge their duties effectively.

In a separate development, the Force Headquarters has paraded four suspects allegedly involved in compromising the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination system during the recently concluded tertiary entrance examinations.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Placid, who briefed journalists in Abuja on Friday, said the suspects are currently under investigation and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

He reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to working with JAMB to safeguard the integrity of the examination process, warning individuals attempting to undermine the system to desist immediately.

Reacting to the development, JAMB’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Benjamin Fabian, said the board had anticipated such fraudulent activities and had already implemented proactive measures to detect and prevent exam malpractice from its headquarters in Abuja.

He added that JAMB actively monitors all examination-related developments and will ensure that anyone involved in hacking or manipulating examination systems is apprehended.

Describing the suspects as part of a dangerous examination syndicate, Dr. Fabian confirmed that affected examination centres have been cancelled, while impacted candidates will be rescheduled for another sitting.
