2027: PDP screens Natasha for Kogi Central Senate race

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced the screening of aspirants seeking elective offices ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan participating in the exercise for the Kogi Central Senatorial District.

 

The screening, held in Lokoja, Kogi State, brought together aspirants contesting various positions on the platform of the PDP ahead of the party primaries.

 

Speaking after the exercise, Natasha expressed appreciation to party leaders, supporters and residents of Kogi Central for their continued support and confidence in her leadership.

 

She said she arrived for the screening with all required credentials and supporting documents and successfully completed the process ahead of the PDP primaries for the 2027 Kogi Central senatorial election.

 

“Today, I travelled to Lokoja to participate in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening exercise for aspirants seeking elective offices in the 2027 general elections,” she said.

 

“Taking no chances, I arrived fully prepared with all required credentials and supporting documents. I am pleased to have successfully completed the screening exercise as part of the process ahead of the party primaries for the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial Election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”

The lawmaker described the exercise as an important democratic process and reaffirmed her commitment to quality representation, purposeful leadership and sustained development across Kogi Central.

 

According to her, a second term in office would focus on youth and women empowerment programmes, expansion of educational opportunities through scholarships and learning support initiatives, rural road rehabilitation, improved healthcare delivery and economic growth across the five local government areas of the district.

 

She pledged to intensify efforts towards attracting more federal projects to the area, improving electricity supply, strengthening community security collaboration and promoting policies aimed at job creation and economic development.

 

Natasha maintained that her political mission remained rooted in service, unity and inclusive leadership.

 

Supporters across Kogi Central have continued to express optimism over her participation in the screening process, describing it as a major step towards the party primaries and the 2027 general elections.
