Nigeria’s transport, logistics sector in spotlight as Oyeyemi delivers lecture

City Business News has announced plans to mark its 10th anniversary with a high-level lecture focused on transportation and logistics as critical drivers of Nigeria’s economy.

Publisher of the online business publication, Moses Ebosele, disclosed that the anniversary lecture will be held on June 25, 2026, at Rockview Hotels, Apapa, Lagos.

According to him, the celebration represents a decade of business reporting, industry-focused journalism and contributions to economic discourse in Nigeria.

The event will feature a keynote lecture titled “Logistics as the engine room of Nigeria’s economy,” to be delivered by Boboye Oyeyemi.

Oyeyemi, a transportation and logistics expert, is the immediate past Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps and currently serves as President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Ebosele said the anniversary event is expected to attract stakeholders from government institutions, the private sector, regulatory agencies and the media.

Among the organisations and personalities expected at the event are ABC Transport founder Frank Nneji, the Nigeria Customs Service, the Nigerian Ports Authority, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, banks, and major automobile companies.

He added that the lecture would provide an opportunity to discuss the role of logistics, transportation, and supply chain systems in strengthening Nigeria’s economic growth and competitiveness.

Ebosele also expressed appreciation to readers, advertisers, partners and stakeholders for supporting the platform over the last 10 years, while reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to professional and impactful journalism.
