Danish-born Nigerian forward Ifenna Dorgu has completed a move to Botev Plovdiv, marking another important step in the young striker’s developing career.
The transfer was finalised in collaboration with PDV Sports, led by Nigerian football agent Peter Odeh, whose involvement played a key role in facilitating the move to the Bulgarian top-flight side.
The 19-year-old attacker, who is the younger brother of Manchester United player Patrick Dorgu, signed a long-term contract with the Bulgarian club after impressing during a trial period.
Dorgu joins Botev Plovdiv following his stint with HB Køge and earlier development experience within the youth system of Genoa CFC, where he attracted attention for his movement, attacking instincts and finishing ability.
The move also represents another milestone for OUS Group, the agency representing both Ifenna and Patrick Dorgu.
Reacting to the transfer, founder and chief executive officer of OUS Group, Kingsley Ogbodo, described the move as an important platform for the youngster’s long-term development.

“We are very pleased with this move for Ifenna. Botev Plovdiv presented a strong sporting project and pathway that aligns with his long-term development. He is a talented young player with immense potential, and we believe this environment will help him continue growing both technically and mentally. We appreciate the club for the confidence they have shown in him, and we are excited about what the future holds,” Ogbodo said.
Known for his versatility across the attacking line, Dorgu is regarded as one of the emerging young football talents of Nigerian descent in Europe.
His move to Bulgaria is expected to provide him with valuable first-team experience while continuing his progression within European football.
At Botev Plovdiv, the forward will also team up with Nigerian attacker Samuel Kalu as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the new season.
