Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election for Katsina Central Senatorial District, securing the party’s ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Following the announcement of the results, Yar’adua thanked delegates, party leaders, and supporters across the district for what he described as an overwhelming show of confidence in his leadership.
“Alhamdulillah, with a heart full of gratitude, I sincerely thank the good people of Katsina Central Senatorial District for your overwhelming support and confidence in me,” he stated.
The senator described the victory as a shared mandate rooted in the collective aspiration for progress, improved security, and economic prosperity in the district.
Yar’adua also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening democratic processes within the party and praised Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for providing leadership and stability in the state.
He further applauded the APC leadership for conducting what he termed a transparent, peaceful, and credible primary election.
“This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to every supporter, stakeholder, and loyal party member who believes in our shared vision for progress, security, and prosperity,” he said.
The lawmaker pledged to continue serving the people of Katsina Central with integrity and dedication while calling on party members to remain united as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections.
“Together, by the grace of Almighty Allah, we will move forward stronger and more united to secure a brighter future for Katsina Central Senatorial District,” he added.
The Katsina Central APC primary attracted significant political attention as the ruling party positions itself ahead of the next electoral cycle in Katsina State, one of its major strongholds in Nigeria’s North-West region.
