The Elders Caucus of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Kwara Central has expressed delight over the governor’s endorsement of Ambassador Yahaya Seriki as the gubernatorial candidate of the party in 2027.

The group praised the foresight of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in endorsing Seriki’s candidature.

The group, in a statement signed by its coordinator, Alh Razaq Lawal, chairman, Alh Mustapha Kobe, secretary, Alh Gani Alawo and public relations officer, Sulaiman Sheu AbdulSalam on Tuesday.

They was certain that the combination of Governor AbdulRazaq as the leader of APC in the state, and his preferred candidate, Ambassador Seriki would deliver Kwara to APC in during the 2027 general elections.

It described Seriki as a “grassroots politician and business magnate who enjoys the support of the youths because of his unmatched philanthropic gestures.”

The group urged all loyal party members and supporters to abide by the decision of governor whom they described as “a pragmatic leader and advocate of youths and women development.”

It expressed the confidence that Seriki would not deviate from the solid foundation that the governor has laid, but would improve on it.
