The London Organisation of Skills Development (LOSD) hosted the Skills Live Show 2026 at the University of Oxford, attracting delegates from 45 countries for discussions on innovation, AI, entrepreneurship and resilience.

London Organisation of Skills Development hosted the Skills Live Show 2026 at the University of Oxford, bringing together delegates, academics, innovators, and civic leaders from 45 countries to discuss skills development, innovation, resilience, and international collaboration.

The event was held across Oxford’s Saïd Business School and the historic Examination School, attracting 51 speakers from sectors including education, health, technology, business, and entrepreneurship.

The summit was led by Prof. Dr Parin Somani, Chief Executive Officer of LOSD, alongside civic dignitaries including Louise Upton, Sunny Lambe, Anjana Patel, Tushar Kumar, and Smita Rajesh.

The Skills Live Show featured keynote sessions and panel discussions examining major global issues shaping the future of work and society. Conversations focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on employment and entrepreneurship, digital wellbeing, startup innovation, and the evolving challenges confronting younger generations entering the workforce.

Participants also explored leadership transitions, business resilience, and sustainable development, with industry experts encouraging practical approaches to innovation and long-term growth.

One of the major highlights of the event was the unveiling of several new publishing projects under the LOSD Publishing House. Among them was A Book of Happiness, edited by Prof. Somani and featuring contributions from 45 international co-authors examining themes of resilience, fulfilment, and wellbeing in modern society.

The organisation also launched 26 Game Changers of the Year 2026, a coffee table publication recognising individuals making significant contributions across industries and communities.

LOSD further announced plans to unveil additional titles, including Rising Queens: The Icons of 2026 and The Book of Resilience, at Harvard University in August 2026 before a separate London launch later in the year.

The event concluded with the LOSD Excellence Awards 2026, held in one of Oxford’s historic 18th-century venues. The ceremony recognised 77 recipients across categories, including business, education, health, media, technology, and social impact.

Organisers said the awards were designed to celebrate individuals and organisations that contribute to innovation, leadership, and positive societal impact across sectors.

The summit also attracted international media coverage through London TV and London Elite Magazine, alongside a dedicated podcast series featuring interviews with keynote speakers and participants.

According to organisers, the event reinforced LOSD’s broader commitment to promoting skills development, global collaboration, and knowledge exchange across industries and generations.
