…says party bigger than any individual interest
…extends olive branch to factional members
THE acting National Working Committee (NWC) chairman of the Dr Dumebi Kachukwu faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC),Kingsley Temitope Ogah has sounded the warning that the party will not condone indiscipline ,lawlessness neither will it allow agents of sabotage to destroy it heading into the 2027 general elections .
Ogah stated this at the 2026 non-elective special national convention of the ADC in Abuja on Sunday , stressing that millions of Nigerians are patiently waiting to vote the party into power come 2027.
He said the current Nigerian leadership has shown lack of courage and ideas in tackling insecurity and resetting the economy for the good and benefit of all.
He assured that the ADC will work to ensure national unity,economic boom and welfare of Nigerian who are presently hungry and in penury .
According to him:”we are more organized ,determined than ever to take Nigeria to prosperity . Our membership is expanding an more Nigerians are identifying with our party .
“We will not allow Indiscipline,selfishness and recklessness because Nigerans are looking for alternatives and we are here to offer that alternative .”
He also extended an olive branch to all members who have left the party for one reason or the other,”We believe that many of our members have drifted away but we are ready to welcome you back , our doors are opened to them and we are building a movement that is beyound winning elections.”
He emphasized that the ADC encountered sabotage carried out by agents of destruction.
“Those negative forces have already faded away and I want to say it clearly that the ADC bigger than any personal interest .”
He said Nigerians are waiting for competence adding that ,”Nigerian’s are waiting and watching us. They are tired of political divisions and bitterness. They are looking for a strong platform which ADC presents .
“We are not the first to face turbulence and we will not be the last, we have survived and we are rising and the hope of those who believed will not be in vain.”
Earlier ,the chairman of convention planning committee and chairman of the Benue state chapter of the party , Elias Adukwu said the party has made tremendous progress and that the convention should be seen beyound a party gathering but a day that Nigerian began resolved for good leadership .
He commended those who held the ground while the storm continued .
