Zamfara ADC faction reportedly sacks Mahadi Aliyu Gusau

African Democratic Congress (ADC)

A faction of the Zamfara State chapter of the African Democratic Congress ADC, being led by Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau, has made a U-turn, rejecting Barrister Mahadi Aliyu Gusau as its governorship candidate in the State, saying that he is not even a member of the party and cannot represent the party in any election.

The party urge all members and supporters to ignore the rumors and misinformation being circulated by certain groups that Barrister Mahadi Aliyu Gusau is ADC’s governorship candidate in the State.

This was contained in a statement issued this morning by the Spokesman of the faction, Comrade Abdulkareem Umar, urging the party supporters to remain focused on the party’s activities and objectives.

“We also call on the media to exercise caution and responsibility in reporting, as sharing unverified or misleading news can harm the credibility of their platforms”, the statement added.

“The ethics of journalism stipulate news balancing, and we encourage adherence to it”

Recall that the faction on several occasions told newsmen that Barrister Mahadi Aliyu Gusau has been the governorship candidate of the party in the State.

The two factions of the party are now fighting for party supremacy, noting that the party in the State now has no authentic leadership as it has two factions.
